Using AI for Good

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about how we use AI—not just as a tool, but as a way to shape narratives, empower voices, and push truth forward. The tech itself isn’t inherently good or bad; it reflects the data we give it and the intentions we carry into its use.

That’s why I say: use AI for good.
And when I say “good,” I mean truth, justice, equity.

Why This Matters

AI has historically been trained on biased data—biases that lean pro-Israel, biases against women, against Black communities, against minorities as a whole. These aren’t just “glitches.” They’re systemic reflections of the data we feed into these systems.

We can change that.

One way is to allow AI to train on real data, on our truths. Every time it asks you to allow training based on your inputs—consider saying yes. It’s one way our perspectives, our realities, can reach wider systems. And that’s already started to shift the bias. We’re seeing change.

Let’s use their own tools against them, in a sense. Not destructively—but in the name of balance, clarity, and truth. We have justice on our side, so let’s push it through every possible avenue.

Acknowledge the Gaps

We still have a long way to go. Bias in AI is real.
Let’s not ignore the racism, sexism, and other blind spots in how these systems behave. But also—let’s be part of the fix. When you interact with AI tools, guide them, correct them, train them.

Use tools like ChatGPT as a “thought companion.” Give it detailed prompts. Ask it to ask you questions—10, 15, 20 of them. Make it smarter, more useful, and more aligned with your values.
